Earplug 2 is a portable, multi - function audio tester, which has been designed by a professional sound engineer, in consultation with others, for genuine practical purposes. It can be used in the studio or in the field, to fault find and test analogue audio systems operating at mic or line level and can also act as a cable tester, 4-wire communications unit and mic amplifier. It contains a low distortion, calibrated sine wave oscillator and a genuine analogue pink noise generator.
It has been recently completely re-designed using state of the art “ROHS compliant” components. Earplug2 incorporates many new features, but retains all the original ones that made the earplug audio tester such an essential part of any soundman’s tool kit.
Earplug 2 is ergonomically and robustly constructed with surface-mount components on fibre-glass PCBs in a custom machined anodised aluminium case, and is hand assembled to ISO 9001 standards.
